We have launched a Roleybushcare Calendar. It is now available in the local Roleystone shops for a price of $10.  

A message from our Chairman....

Welcome to the first Roleybushcare calendar. I hope you enjoy viewing some of the wonderful natural sights of Roleystone. Our village is only a 45 minutes drive from Perth city but is surrounded on all sides by the magnificent jarrah forest.

Roleybushcare is a community-based conservation group that strives to conserve the natural values of bushland in and around Roleystone. One Sunday every month 20 to 60 Roleybushcare volunteers tackle a list of environmental tasks including protecting plants from Phytophthora dieback (about 40% of plant species are susceptible to this disease), revegetating degraded areas and removing weeds.

To encourage residents to visit their local bushland reserves we organised a photographic competition in 2007. The photographs were to be of natural sights around Roleystone. The competition was a great success with stunning photos and many comments of appreciation about the local environment. We have selected some of the best examples to showcase in this calendar. Our hope is that this calendar encourages more people to appreciate the bushland reserves and volunteer to help conserve these natural jewels. Let's hope it works!!
