- Category:

Description
We have been treating the bush in Midgegooroo National Park, along the top edge of the Araluen Golf Course Estate over the past year. A strip of about 20 metres has been created next to the road but there is one section still to go. When this is done we will have created a decent barrier to try to stop the spread of dieback.
This last push needs lots of volunteers to ensure we close the gap before winter.
We will meet in Forrestedge Rise (off Heritage Road) up behind the Araluen Golf Course Estate. Signs will be on the road.
Come along and learn how to treat your bushland.

Remember that if you help us as a volunteer on the field day, then you will be able to borrow our equipment to treat your own block.
This is a great opportunity to come and learn how to do it from our Chairperson Dr Ian Colquhoun who is a recognised expert in this field. Ian will show participants what to look for, how to identify jarrahs from marri trees, the signs of dieback in grasstrees and zamias etc. You will learn tips on using the syringes. We have had children helping out so it is not hard.
Morning tea provided by willing volunteers.
All welcome.
